NYC People’s Climate March – travel day 6 (9/18/14)

I can’t believe it – we are just 2-3 hours away from Penn Station in New York! We are running about 3 hours late – not bad for a four day train trip!

I spent the morning in conversation with several new People’s Climate Train friends including some fun conversations on the issues with Maureen Forney, John Pappan and Paul Leonard.

In the afternoon, I listened to parts of two great presentations, but have to admit that by that time I was starting to feel pretty sleepy from the long days and short nights on the train:

3:00pm-3:45pm – Fossil Free: Divesting from Fossil Fuels with John Murlow

4:00pm-4:45pm – Is a Renewable Future Within Reach? with James D’Albora

Well, it’s 8:30pm on Saturday September 20th and I’m just now finishing this post from last Thursday. After we arrived at Penn Station in NYC, we were in the station as a large group for quite awhile singing and waiting for checked baggage. By the time, those of us staying in the UU apartments lugged our bags more than a mile to the apartments, up 4 flights of stairs, went out for a bite to eat, and made it to bed; it was about 2am New York time…
