About Us

The 350 Corvallis group started with its first meeting on Dec. 7th 2012.  We are a group of citizens that feel strongly about the need to take immediate action to address the problems related to climate change.

The group is grassroots, with no official non-profit status and no paid staff.  The group founder, Kris Paul serves as lead cat wrangler and general organizer, but decisions are made by consensus by the 350Corvallis Advisory group.  The advisory group consists of people that have been active in the group and have expressed interest in taking on more of a leadership role.

All Meetings Open to Public
4th Thursdays 6:30-8pm, 101 NW 23rd St.

What does 350 mean?

350 means safety from the climate crisis.

To preserve our planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current level of 392 parts per million (“ppm”)to below 350 ppm. But 350 is more than a number—it’s a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.
